Telegram Flow

Use this format when payment should unlock access to a Telegram group or channel.

Merchant setup

In the template builder, configure:

  • format: Telegram
  • merchant payout wallet
  • fixed amount in SOL or USDC
  • delivery target or invite handoff
  • destination name Example: Premium group
  • optional Telegram chat ID override if one template should bypass the saved workspace default
  • billing interval in days
  • grace period in days

Workspace settings handle the shared checkout branding:

  • checkout brand name
  • logo image
  • hero image
  • default success button

Buyer experience

The buyer:

  1. opens the checkout link
  2. taps Connect Telegram
  3. returns to checkout with the Telegram identity linked
  4. connects a wallet
  5. approves the payment
  6. receives the success state and access handoff

If you deliberately keep a manual buyer field for a custom case, Hilt can still collect that too, but the launch-friendly path is the Telegram connect step.

Merchant workflow

After confirmation, merchants can:

  • search members by wallet
  • search members by Telegram identity
  • verify a payment using the transaction signature
  • use receipts to handle support conversations cleanly

The Telegram connect flow means the merchant does not need to guess or manually type the buyer's Telegram details during setup.

Good Telegram use cases

  • paid alpha channels
  • research communities
  • premium member groups
  • recurring gated access
  • interval: 30 days for monthly communities
  • grace: 3 to 7 days depending on how strict access should be
  • reminder cadence: at least 7, 2, and 1 day before expiry

Important note

HiltPay manages renewal orchestration, not wallet autopay.

That means the merchant can remind and re-link the buyer cleanly, but the buyer still approves each new on-chain payment.
