Send an NFT by X handle

PayMe lets you send supported Solana tokens and NFTs to a recipient using their X handle. The recipient must have an active PayMe profile with a verified X identity and a verified receiving wallet. You do not need to ask them for a wallet address or create your own PayMe profile to send. NFT transfers move an NFT you already own. This is not a minting service, marketplace purchase, or escrow sale.

Before sending

  • The recipient has created a PayMe and verified their receiving wallet.
  • Your connected Solana wallet owns the NFT and can sign the transfer.
  • You have SOL for Hilt’s fee, the network fee, and any required account creation.
  • The NFT’s format and transfer rules are supported by Hilt.
An X-verified PayMe establishes control of the linked X account; it is not an endorsement of the person or their assets. Check the exact handle and receiving wallet before approving.

Send an NFT

  1. Open the recipient’s PayMe, such as https://pay.hilt.so/me/@theirhandle. You can also find their profile from PayMe.
  2. Connect the wallet that owns the NFT and select NFTs.
  3. Choose an eligible NFT from Your NFTs. If it is missing from the list, use Look up NFT address with its asset address.
  4. Review the NFT, recipient handle, receiving wallet, Hilt fee, estimated network fee, and any account creation costs.
  5. Select Approve in wallet and review the wallet’s transaction details before confirming.
  6. Wait for confirmation. Hilt displays a receipt and a link to the transaction on Solscan.
The NFT list belongs to the connected sending wallet, not the recipient whose PayMe page is open. One NFT is sent per transfer.

Supported NFTs

Frozen assets cannot be sent. Token Metadata and compressed assets with delegated transfer authority are not supported. Core assets with unknown or external plugins are unavailable. A collection’s restrictions or a failed transfer simulation may also prevent sending. Hilt displays a reason when it cannot support a transfer. Having a visible image does not mean an NFT is transferable, and a missing image alone does not establish that it is invalid. Always verify the asset address.

Fees

The sender pays a 0.001 SOL Hilt fee per NFT transfer, plus the Solana network fee and any account creation costs required for the recipient. These costs are shown before wallet approval. Creating a PayMe and receiving an NFT carry no Hilt fee for the recipient. The 2% Hilt fee for token payments does not apply to NFT transfers. An NFT’s market price is not used to calculate the NFT transfer fee. The review distinguishes estimated fees, the maximum priority fee, and account rent when applicable; the confirmed receipt records the network fee and quoted rent.

Wallet control and confirmation

Hilt does not take custody of your NFT, request your seed phrase, or hold your private key. Your wallet signs the transfer. Hilt checks ownership, the recipient, and the transaction before accepting confirmation. Do not approve an unexpected transaction or dismiss a wallet safety warning. A successful simulation or identity verification is not a guarantee about the NFT’s value or the recipient’s trustworthiness. If a transfer is pending or interrupted, use Check transfer status or Resume saved transfer on the existing attempt. Do not start a second transfer while the first is unresolved. An expired attempt may require a fresh review and wallet approval. Confirmed transfers are not reversed by editing a PayMe profile. To return an NFT, its new owner must approve a separate transfer to the intended receiving wallet.

Receipts and images

A confirmed Hilt receipt identifies the NFT, sender, recipient, receiving wallet, fees, and Solana transaction. Its permanent link can be copied and shared. Receipt links are public: anyone with a link can view its published transfer details. Save receipt exports the receipt image; the NFT image button creates a share image. Desktop browsers download PNG files. On mobile, Hilt opens an in-page image preview with native sharing where the browser supports it. The preview retains the receipt link, and closing it returns to the receipt. NFT artwork depends on the asset’s published metadata and image hosting. Hilt uses image caching and available fallback sources, but cannot guarantee artwork from deleted or unavailable sources. Try the image refresh control if artwork has changed or a host was temporarily unavailable.

Other PayMe flows

NFT sending is available on the recipient’s PayMe page. It is not part of the SOL-only grouped payment flow, the PayMe MCP connector, or the public agent payment action. Those flows retain their documented asset scope.
